My first bike sketch was pretty much terrible , I researched a variety of bike styles and just attacked my sketchbook quickly to see what I could come out with, putting very little thought in I came up with a squashed, low riding super bike.

I was worried with this I thought arghh! I have a experience coming up but I can’t draw motorbikes :(
The sketch below was one I did on my first day at the studio with a few quick tips from Mark and researching flat trackers I did a quick doodle whilst sat at the computer, I was surprised how it came out :D
This encouraged me an gave me confidence in drawing and designing bikes, I went further on to a experiment page and trying to semi-finalize my design through drawing and cleaning up lines.

I've learned that motorbikes are far more complex than vehicles, proportion and stance are so different, when designing bikes these qualities depend on wheel distance and rake angle.
Get it wrong and the bike can look weird and funny, kind of like my first sketch :D
